Transfusions to Infusions: Torchia ’13 ‘Goes the Distance’ for Maria Fareri Children’s Hospital

In June of 2011, Anthony Torchia ’13 was taken to Westchester Medical Center following an ATV accident with four skull fractures, four broken ribs, fractured pelvis, shattered spleen and plenty of internal bleeding.  It took four blood transfusions and two weeks in intensive care at the Maria Fareri Children’s Hospital to put him back on the road to recovery.
