Gaels head to Goshen for week of service

In what has become an annual rite of passage for Gaels, six students hopped into a van this morning to join Mr. Schmidt and Sister Barbara for a week with “DaNuns and DaKids” at the Mustard Seed Migrant Ministry of Goshen, N.Y.

Mustard Seed is a Catholic-based outreach, located in Orange County and has been in operation since 1990. The Ministry serves migrant farm worker families, with particular reference to the children. Sisters Pam Wagner and Fran Liston are members of the Sisters of Divine Compassion, which sponsors them in this ministry.

Watching over DaKids this week are Grace Cunningham ’15, Paige Faustini ’14, Blair Lenzi ’14, Elizabeth Manzo ’14, Julia Mee ’14 and Erin Ward ’14.  God bless our Lady Gaels for the good work they will be doing.
