Kennedy boys hoops goes 2-0 in PA Challenge

Kennedy Catholic’s varsity boys basketball team opened the season on a high note with two wins in the Philadelphia Challenge.

In their opener, the Gaels defeated Our Savior Lutheran 60-52 on Friday, December 5.

Senior Sean Delaney paced the Gaels with 15 points. Malachi de Sousa and Elijah Hughes tallied 12 points apiece, while Dom Cristiano added 10 points.

In their second game, Kennedy bested Eastern High (DC) 58-44 on Saturday, December 6.

Cristiano (15 points), Delaney (14 points) and de Sousa (11 points) led the way in the victory.

Kennedy looks to improve to 3-0 when it travels to St. John’s Prep for a 5 p.m. contest tomorrow.
