Back to Basics: Homecoming Dance

The Kennedy Catholic Homecoming Dance was held on Friday September 30th in the Gymnasium and Lakeview Room. Hosted by the Student Council, the dance gave Gaels from all grades the opportunity to dress up for a night of dancing and celebrating the new school year. Following the football team’s 47-7 victory over St. Dominick’s and Field Day, the dance was a great way to cap off Spirit Week 2023!

The night began with socializing and photo opportunities in the Commons. As everyone began to arrive, it was fun seeing all of our peers dressed up and looking their party best. The gym was decorated with colorful flashing lights, balloons, streamers, and a DJ booth. With over 400 tickets being sold, the dance was beginning to look like a night to remember!

The dance floor was packed with students singing, dancing, jumping up and down, and just having a great time. The music blared through the gym along with hundreds of voices singing along to songs that never fail to make us get up and dance. Even some of our teachers and chaperones took the dance floor to show off their moves. Soon after, a pizza and pasta dinner was served in the cafeteria.

Students continued to dance the night away up until the very last song and left feeling thankful and great to be a Gael! Thank you to the student council members, Mr. Compton, and Ms. Torre for planning not only a great dance, but a great spirit week for Kennedy. The dance was such a fun event that many students will look forward to and anticipate for next year!

Blue and White Funding for Education

Today, we are excited to announce the launch of our new capital campaign, Blue and White Funding for Education. Our goal is ambitious but essential: we aim to raise $1.5 million over the next three years to build a fund that will empower Kennedy Catholic to continue offering a high-quality Catholic education to even more students. As you know, the cost of a quality education is rising each year, and we are determined to ensure that financial barriers do not prevent deserving young people from receiving an education that nurtures not only their minds but also their faith.
