GBB Takes the City

Sunday March 3rd marked the first time the Kennedy Catholic Prep Girls Basketball program raised a New York City Championship trophy. It was all smiles as the Gaels won in convincing fashion over the Bonnies of Fontbonne Hall Academy of Brooklyn at the Draddy Gymnasium of Manhattan College. Madison Carlo helped set the tone with three first quarter three-pointers. The Gaels jumped out to a 16-4 start and didn’t look back.

The final was 67-39 as the Gaels captured the GCHSAA Tier 2 City Championship. The Gaels will continue their season and quest for the first girls State Championship in school history. It will be no easy task as the Buffalo powerhouse St. Mary’s from Lancaster, NY will stand in their way Friday night (3/8) at Cardinal Spellman High School in the Bronx. The game will tip at 5:30PM, and if the Gaels are to prevail they move onto Hofstra University and face the winner of Sacred Heart Academy (Long Island representative) & Fontbonne (Brooklyn/Queens representative) on Saturday night at 7PM.

Blue and White Funding for Education

Today, we are excited to announce the launch of our new capital campaign, Blue and White Funding for Education. Our goal is ambitious but essential: we aim to raise $1.5 million over the next three years to build a fund that will empower Kennedy Catholic to continue offering a high-quality Catholic education to even more students. As you know, the cost of a quality education is rising each year, and we are determined to ensure that financial barriers do not prevent deserving young people from receiving an education that nurtures not only their minds but also their faith.
