Senior Mass 2024

On May 24th 2024, over 50 members of the Kennedy Catholic Class of 2024 traveled to St. Patrick’s Cathedral to attend the Catholic High Schools of the Archdiocese of New York celebrated by His Eminence Timothy Cardinal Dolan.

The day started bright and early when the buses left Kennedy at 6:15 am, 50 seniors made their way into New York City. After a short bus ride into the Big Apple, Kennedy Seniors found themselves on 5th Avenue in front of the stunning St Patrick’s Cathedral. Given the early arrival, the students had the opportunity to explore the cathedral and learn about the rich history of our Faith and God within its walls.

The Mass began at 10 am and hosted over 2000 Seniors from Various Catholic High Schools. Led by His Eminence Timothy Cardinal Dolan, who was joined by many Priests including Fr Breslin and Father Valencord. Cardinal Dolan’s homily was centered around the fact that God is our Good Shepherd and that we are his sheep. Meaning, God is always watching over us and leading us. God knows, understands, leads, and lives within us through Grace. It conveyed an important message to anyone, but especially Seniors during a pivotal moment in our lives.

After the Mass, Miss Normile led the Senior Class through midtown for  Chick-fil-A lunch and then on a walk through the west side of Central Park. In the park, we listened to various street music performances and immersed ourselves in the ever-changing streets of NYC.

It was a great experience for all in attendance.

Blue and White Funding for Education

Today, we are excited to announce the launch of our new capital campaign, Blue and White Funding for Education. Our goal is ambitious but essential: we aim to raise $1.5 million over the next three years to build a fund that will empower Kennedy Catholic to continue offering a high-quality Catholic education to even more students. As you know, the cost of a quality education is rising each year, and we are determined to ensure that financial barriers do not prevent deserving young people from receiving an education that nurtures not only their minds but also their faith.
