Baseball Ends Regular Season on Top

Varsity Baseball, with veteran Coach Bob Fletcher at the help, is ending regular season play ranked #1 by Lohud. From the write up: “Kennedy was busy, with four games in four days, but they stayed upbeat and got two thrilling wins over Iona Prep. Kennedy lost a heartbreaker in an April 17 suspended game that was resumed on Saturday and finished with St. Joseph’s by the Sea enjoying a walk off win in the 12th inning. The Gaels got back on track with a win over Regis to start the week.”

The Gaels celebrated Senior night on May 6th, defeating Regis 2-1 with Senior and Mercy University Commit Omar Giret nearly completing a no hit no run game. Junior and Seton Hall commit Ryan Strnad with 2 outs and the bases loaded came in with a rope down the line to sore sophomore Lorenzo Jorge for the win.
