Funding for Tuition

Funding for Tuition – Urgent Calls Needed Tuesday, March 25.

Education Tax Credits will:

  • generate additional funds to help families pay tuition;
  • will help support important programs in public and nonpublic schools; and
  • provide teachers with $200 tax credit for classroom supplies.

Catholic School Tuition Relief is just days away!   Lawmakers in Albany are expected to finalize state budget negotiations this coming Wednesday, March 26.  It is critical, therefore, that as many calls as possible are made to our representatives no later than Tuesday, March 25.  Please call Governor Cuomo’s office and your Albany representatives.  A message and their phone numbers are below.

Some are pressuring lawmakers to fund only public schools.  Our proposal, on the other hand, would not only help tuition-paying families, it would support all families, all teachers, and all students.  So, please join parents, teachers, principals, pastors and bishops across the state in our final effort to include Education Tax Credits in the State Budget.

Pleases make your calls NOW – but certainly no later than this Tuesday, March 25.

Message to the Governor and Legislators:

“I am calling to urge that Education Tax Credits be included in the state budget in order to help all families, all teachers and all students.”
