Gaels continue to roll on hardwood, move on to finals

Kennedy Catholic’s varsity boys basketball team improved to 7-0 with a commanding 74-38 victory over host Binghamton in the STOP-DWI Holiday Classic on Sunday, Dec. 28.

Kennedy closed the game on a 44-12 run after leading just 27-24 at halftime.

Elijah Hughes and Malachi de Sousa paced the Gaels with 21 points apiece. Dom Cristiano and Sean Delaney each scored 11 points.

The Gaels advance to the championship game of the tournament and will take on Norwich tomorrow night at 9:15.

On Tuesday, Dec. 23 the Gaels defeated Dwight Morrow 97-66. Cristiano (24 points) and Hughes (18 points) led the way. Delaney (15 points), de Sousa (14 points) and A.J. Morales (11 points) also contributed.
