Registration for KCPS Junior Semi-Formal
Junior Semi-Formal will take place from 6:00pm to 10:00pm on Sunday February 16, 2025 at Villa Barone Hilltop Manor
Students may not arrive after 6:30pm or leave before 9:30pm
The deadline for registration and payment is
Wednesday February 12 at 3pm.
Kennedy Catholic Code of Conduct
- The dance is a school event. As such, all school policies apply. In particular, students must adhere to the code of conduct outlined in the 2024-2025 KCPS Student Handbook.
- Students are expected to conduct themselves in a manner consistent with the Catholic Christian mission of the school and applicable State laws.
- Any student not in compliance will be subject to disciplinary action including, but not limited to, dismissal from the dance and parental notification.
- Backpacks are not permitted into the dance – any bag aside from a purse must be left with the check in staff.
- Tickets are $150 per person and are non-refundable. In addition, tickets cannot be exchanged with another student. No tickets will be sold at the door.
- KCPS Juniors may choose to bring one guest. Juniors must register and pay first before their guest can register and pay.
All guests must:
- a 12th grade Kennedy Catholic student or an 11th or 12th grade student from another high school
- register and pay on the 2024-2025 Junior Semi Formal Guest Registration webpage
Guests may not:
- be 9th or 10th grade students from any school, former Kennedy Catholic students, or college students
Guests who are 11th or 12th grade students from another high school must:
- provide contact information for a school administrator who can provide a verification that the student is in good standing at their school
- upload a photo of their school ID during registration
- bring their school ID to the event
- complete the parent permission form
- agree to and sign the Code of Conduct Contract
- All attendees are reminded that this is a SEMI-FORMAL event. Therefore, formal wear (gowns and tuxedos) and limousines are not permitted.
Attire Guidelines
Formal Attire for Young Men
- A suit, collared shirt, and tie are required. Tuxedos are NOT permitted (save that for Senior Prom!)
- Dress shoes, dark socks, and a belt must be worn.
- Jeans, athletic shoes or sneakers, white socks, and baseball caps or hats of any kind are not acceptable.
- Hair must be cut, neatly combed, may not hang over the shirt collar and may not be bleached or dyed.
- Young men must be clean shaven.
- No earrings, excessive or inappropriate makeup, jewelry, or nail polish.
Formal Attire for Young Women
- A short, semi-formal dress is required. Dress hem must fall within an inch of the knee and may NOT be floor length (save that for Senior Prom!)
- Formal dresses with sleeves, thick straps, spaghetti straps, and strapless dresses are acceptable.
- Necklines must leave no more than 4-5 inches bare chest between collarbone and the top of the dress.
- Backs of dresses should fall no lower than 6-8 inches from the nape of the neck.
- Backless ensembles, plunging necklines, exposed midriffs, and revealing styles are not acceptable.
- Dress heels or dressy flat shoes are required.
Students that choose not to follow the Attire Guidelines will not be permitted to enter the event until they are dressed appropriately.
Arrival/Departure Policy
- Limousines are NOT permitted.
- Students must arrive at the venue no later than 6:30pm and may leave no earlier than 9:30pm unless they have a written note from a parent which includes a phone number for the parent to be contacted.
