White House Wednesdays for Young Alumni

The White House Wednesdays for Young Alumni series brings together Kennedy Catholic Gaels to network, learn and serve.

Upcoming event:

Summer Send-off: Internships and first jobs

Wednesday, August 5, 2026
6:30pm at the Kennedy Catholic white house

Thank you for your interest in White House Wednesdays.
Please note: Registration for our Wednesday, July 15 event is now closed. This event is been postponed.
Our next event will be held Wednesday, August 5.  Please stay tuned for details and registration.

We’re kicking off our final summer session with lawn games! Then, we’ll head indoors for a casual conversation and idea exchange about internships and first jobs — how early-in-career and college age students find opportunities, market themselves, prepare for interviews and more. Are you working at your first job after college now? Did you land an internship this summer, or want to get one next year? How is it going?

Hear from Kennedy alumni Andrew Bentivenga ’24 and Caroline Majano ’24, who have been busy with internships in engineering and television production.

Come and join the conversation — whether you’re out in the workforce, looking to land your first job or an internship, or want to network. All Kennedy Catholic young alumni are welcome to attend. Refreshments will be served.

Donate children's books in support of the Liv Like Livy Foundation

Live Like Livy LogoWhite House Wednesday participants are invited to bring a children’s book (for students from 1st grade through high school) to donate in support of The Liv Like Livy Foundation. The Foundation was established in honor of Olivia Katherine Sherry, from Kennedy Catholic’s Class of 2019, to spread the joy, love and benefits of reading and literacy through education, mentoring and community service. Olivia graduated from Clemson University with both an undergraduate and graduate degree in education and fulfilled her lifelong goal of becoming a teacher. On May 26, 2024, Olivia passed away at the age of 23 due to complications from a congenital heart defect.

When Olivia discovered that millions of children in Africa had never held a book—and that countless girls were denied the chance to learn – she felt compelled to make a difference. One of her goals was to spend her summers in Africa and teach firsthand. Although she never had the chance, her vision lives on. The Live Like Livy Foundation partners with Books for Africa to carry that mission forward. With every book sent, new opportunities open for girls and students across the continent – and you can help write the next chapter.
